A M-A-R-V-E-L-O-U-S Book

We have been working on verbally retelling stories in the correct order.  One of the books we focused on was The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore by William Joyce.  For those of you that have not yet read it, its illustrations and storyline are sure to impress.

In fact, the story inspired a short film, which won an Academy Award.  Enjoy the magic as we did:

In other news, the students have completed yet another compliment word.  Today they spelled M-A-R-V-E-L-O-U-S.  They voted for "show and tell" as their reward for next week.

  1. We watched this at story time and thought it was great! We have asked if we can see it again.

  2. We asked lots of questions and tried to answer them!
We asked Why did the writing blow off?
Why does the colour come and go?
    Why can't he talk?
Where does he go when the books carry him off?
I wonder if you had the same answers as us!
