K1: Yesterday we lost some of our time. (daylight's saving)
K2: Yesterday my brother lost his hockey game.

(walking into school) "Why does it smell like Canadian bacon?

M: You know what I look like when I ice skate? A baby giraffe.
K: Oh yeah? You know what I look like when I ice skate? An ice skater.

M: Today's gonna be really crafty. It's right up Sloane's alley.
K: Sloane doesn't have an alley! I live by her!

K: What is that?
Me: Gnocchi. It's delicious.
K: It looks like caterpillars!

Me: Are you wearing two pairs of pants?
K: Yeah...my mom's crazy.

Me: Well, yeah, you don't just sit in the kitchen with your belly out and say, "Mom! Bake me a cake!"
K: No, I don't. But my dad does. And then he goes and watches football on the couch.

Me: One of these years my class is going to be maize and blue.
K: What's raisin blue?

K: We're in the seventy finals!
Me: You mean the semi-finals?
K: Yes.

K1: My dad can't run. You know why?
Me: Because he's too old?
K1: No! He's only 35!
K2: My dad's 40.
K1: Oh wow. Now that's old!

"I can't wait to go to TGIL Fridays."
